
Grilled Oysters

Ingredients
- 12 fresh oysters
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon cilantro (optional)
Steps
- Rinse the oysters and scrub the shells clean. Drain and set aside.
- Melt the butter and mix it with minced garlic, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and black pepper to make the garlic butter sauce.
- Place the oysters on a baking tray. Gently pry open the shells and keep half of the shell.
- Spread the garlic butter sauce evenly over each oyster.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the oysters for 8-10 minutes until the sauce turns slightly golden.
- Remove the grilled oysters from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions and cilantro. Serve immediately.
Tips
Avoid overcooking to keep the oysters tender. For a spicy kick, add a pinch of chili powder or minced chili peppers.
