Sesame Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast (cut into cubes)
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- 3 tbsp light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1/2 cup broccoli (optional, blanched)
Steps
- Coat chicken cubes with beaten egg and cornstarch. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil to 350°F, fry chicken until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, sauté garlic and ginger in a little oil. Add soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in sesame oil and fried chicken, tossing until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve with blanched broccoli.
Tips
Maintain oil temperature to avoid burning. For tender meat, substitute chicken thighs. Adjust honey for desired sweetness.
